We Pick Up Trash on Hwy 60 Outside of Wickenburg

But Get a Good Bike Ride In As Well!

It's amazing how much trash accumulates by the side of the road - even in a very remote area on Hwy 60 outside of Wickenburg.  We found beer cans, Starbucks cups, tire treads, pieces of cars, fiberglass chunks, wires, cigarette butts, ancient tin cans, glass as well as plastic soda bottles, beer cans, disintegrating tissues and other paper, cardboard, broken Bots Dots, and more junk.  Did I mention we found lots of beer cans?  At least we didn't find any meth lab equipment parts or dead bodies or road kill.  One group came across a (live) baby horny toad and a baby red racer snake.  We let those be and focused on picking up trash though.  Afterwards, we had lunch at the Country Kitchen in Wickenburg.  All in all, it was beautiful weather for our first Adopt-a-Highway clean up effort, and we think everyone had some fun.  A good reason to get out there and ride, and make a small stretch of our beautiful Arizona desert highway just a little bit cleaner!
