Arizona Desert Zephyrs

          Who We Are / What We Do

          The Desert Zephyrs is a relatively new women's riding group, having officially come into existence in September of 2006. 

          We are a group of like-minded women who enjoy riding their motorcycles.  Our ages span from the 20's to the 60's - women of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join our group.  We ride Harleys, Hondas, BMW's, Suzukis, Yamahas, you name it, we ride it.  We have cruisers, tourers, sport bike enthusiasts, and a couple of potential Iron Butts in our ranks.  We ride around the city and we ride across the country - we just love to ride!

          We're also a chapter of WOW®, a national women's motorcycle riding organization.  To learn more about Women on Wheels®, check out their website and read about their mission and history.

Where & When We Meet

Where: Half Moon Sports Grill at 2121 E. Highland, Phoenix.  Here's a map to Half Moon.

When: Second Monday evening of every month. The meetings officially start at 6:30 p.m., but please get there a little earlier to order food and socialize.

          At our monthly meetings we discuss current business, upcoming rides, safety tips, and do a 50/50 raffle to help support the club since we do not have dues.  If anyone is so inclined and doesn't mind speaking in front of our group, we love to hear ride reports and about new places to ride to and see.  Occasionally we will have guest speakers come visit and give a talk about motorcycle-related topics.

          Prospective members are welcome to attend three meetings before required to join WOW®.  Because we are a WOW® chapter, members of our group must also be members of WOW®.

Coffee Meets

          We also meet for coffee almost every Sunday morning at Starbucks in the Park Central Mall (on Central between Indian School and Earl.)  Meeting time?  In hot weather as early as 6:00 a.m.; during the cooler weather from 8:00 a.m. or later.  Just depends on the weather.  It's not a rain or shine get together either; if it's raining you probably won't see anyone there.

Organized & Impromptu Ride Meets

         Sometimes one of us will just want company for an impromptu ride and will post on the forum for that as well.
